Treatments provided include:

Binocular vision therapy - a series of exercises to improve the posture and control of your eyes resulting in clear single comfortable vision.

Eye movement training - exercises that are especially useful if someone has dyslexia or dyspraxia, head injury or are recovering from a stroke

Tracking therapy - this is very useful to children and adults having difficulty with keeping the place when reading and/ or copying and involves paper and computer exercises. 

Coloured Overlays and Precision Tinted Lenses - this treatment is used if someone has visual stress or Meares-Irlen Syndrome. Visual stress gives rise to a collection of unpleasant symptoms when reading and can be the cause of headaches. This treatment is very helpful in migraine, dyslexia, ME, MS and may help anyone else who finds that their eyes get very tired even when wearing glasses.

Visual Perceptual Training - this is used primarily for younger readers who are having difficulty learning to read. The exercises are used help to combat letter and word reversal and overcome difficulty with the presentation of reading material which may be too small or have too much information by using paper exercises, games and computer training.

Auditory Perceptual Training- this is given to those who cannot easily relate letter in written owrds to the sounds as spoken. Some cannot hear the difference between 'b' and 't' for example. For others they may not be able to blend sounds in words making decoding unfamiliar words difficult and spelling also difficult. This is done on the computer at home.

Advice regarding visual comfort and the computer is also available. These problems do not have to be tolerated and usually respond quickly to treatment. The treatments are suitable for children and adults.

IT technology software which can aid reading may also be prescribed.
